Federal workers comp covers hundreds of thousands of federal employees across the nation, protecting against injuries and illnesses caused by your line of work. Unfortunately, only 3% of federal workers comp claims get accepted each year, leaving 97% of injured federal workers without the benefits they need to recover or make ends meet. (And that figure doesn’t even include federal workers injured on the job who never filed a claim.)

That’s why it’s so important to work with DOL doctors who specialize specifically in caring for feds who’ve been injured on the job. At Federal Injury Centers, it’s all we do. When you turn to our team, there’s no charge, no fees, no up-front money, and no more denied OWCP claims.

Work Injury Compensation

The Department of Labor, Office of Workers Compensation Programs (or OWCP) oversees the administration of the Federal Employees’ Compensation Act (or FECA). Under FECA, federal workers who are injured on the job are entitled to work injury compensation at varying levels, depending on the circumstance.

Federal employees covered under FECA include those employed by:

  • US Postal Service (USPS)
  • Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
  • Veterans Affairs (VA)
  • Immigrations & Customs (ICE)
  • Homeland Security (DHS)
  • Social Security Administration (SSA)
  • Department of Defense (DOD)
  • Transportation Security Administration (TSA)
  • Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP)
  • Customs and Border Protection (CBP)

All members of the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) are covered under FECA. In short, if you are a civil employee or officer of the United States government, you are covered under FECA.

There are also exceptions to extend coverage to certain people, such as volunteers of the Peace Corps, federal jurors, members of the Youth Conservation Corps, and even non-federal law enforcement officers in some circumstances. Our specialists will be happy to help you discover whether you qualify for this compensation.

Workers’ Compensation Benefits

Your federal workers’ compensation benefits should cover:

  • All of your medical costs
  • Disability for time missed from work
  • Costs of any rehabilitation needed to get back to work
  • Cash benefits for survivors in cases of death

Regardless of whether your on-the-job injury caused temporary or permanent disability, you are entitled to certain compensation and other benefits accordingly. Don’t miss out on what you are owed. Our offices are here to help.

Expert DOL Doctors

With practices around the nation, Federal Injury Centers is a leading name for federal workers. We use a multidisciplinary approach, incorporating traditional medicine, chiropractic, physical therapy, and other treatments as needed to help our patients fully recover for good.

As DOL doctors, we train each of our teams extensively on the many forms that are required to be done correctly for you to get your benefits. Our doctors are also proficient in properly filling out the reports that tie the patient’s disease or injury to the causation at work, which is absolutely key in getting a valid claim approved. Don’t risk a 3% acceptance rate or settle for a practice that doesn’t work with OWCP on a regular basis. At Federal Injury Centers, our acceptance rate is closer to 100% because this is all we do.
